About Me
Hi! I’m Miranda Barrick!
I’m a recent graduate of Syracuse University with a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology and a minor in German. My website is a showcase of the work I produced during my time at Syracuse University so visitors can get a feel of my design style and abilities.
I was always a crafty kid, starting with designing and building my own dollhouse while still in elementary school. Going to theaters and theme parks opened my eyes to creative theming and set design outside my home, and in high school I joined my school’s stage crew. I learned how to build, paint, and install sets and props and was on run crews for all of our shows and performances. Syracuse University was a natural next step for me with its amazing drama department and collaboration with the LORT theater Syracuse Stage. There I developed my skills not only in class but with hands-on experiences designing shows and working alongside professional carpenters, scenic painters, and craftspeople. With a concentration in set design I have been both an assistant scenic designer and a lead scenic designer on a variety of shows, growing my design skills alongside my leadership and team abilities.
I am very proud of my work and am excited to continue learning and designing beyond Syracuse!
